PaperCheck is an independent tool that checks a report or thesis for AI-written text and plagiarism in one report. Students at MIT World Peace University in Pune, Maharashtra can use it free for 5 checks of up to 20,000 words each. It is not connected to MIT-WPU.

Typical documents are capstone and project reports, internship reports, seminar reports and dissertations. PaperCheck reads Word and PDF files, skips the certificate, declaration, acknowledgement, tables and references, and scores the running text.
It gives an estimate from our own detector. On our own test of 1,378 papers it caught 97.7% of AI-written papers and wrongly flagged 0.43% of human-written ones (2 of 469). That test is ours, not independently validated, and it is for whole papers: short essays score much lower. It cannot predict the number your MIT-WPU checker will show.
