PaperCheck is an independent tool that checks a report or thesis for AI-written text and plagiarism in one report. Students at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh can use it free for 5 checks of up to 20,000 words each. It is not connected to BHU.

Typical documents are dissertations, M.Phil and PhD theses, project work and term papers. PaperCheck reads Word and PDF files, skips the certificate, declaration, acknowledgement, tables and references, and scores the running text.
It gives an estimate from our own detector. On our own test of 1,378 papers it caught 97.7% of AI-written papers and wrongly flagged 0.43% of human-written ones (2 of 469). That test is ours, not independently validated, and it is for whole papers: short essays score much lower. It cannot predict the number your BHU checker will show.
